We had a fantastic stay at this beautifully furnished cottage. Despite its small size, it had everything we needed for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. the cottage was impeccably clean and maintained its modern charm while still having character. It was conveniently located within walking distance to a vibrant area with plenty of restaurants, bars, and cafes. This made it a great base for exploring the area. the private parking space across from the cottage was a bonus, and the quiet road added to the peaceful atmosphere. the cottage had a lovely outdoor seating area, perfect for enjoying the good weather. Julie, the host, was extremely helpful, allowing us to check-in early, and the kitchen was fully equipped, including a wok. We would definitely return to this cottage if we find ourselves in the area again. Cons: Nothing, all was good! 👍.

Wow, what a fantastic way to end our 3-month holiday in Scotland! The cottage was amazing and felt like a home away from home. We loved the fact that it had a car parking space, which is rare in such a small street. The small outdoor seating area was a nice touch. The cottage was nicely furnished and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. It was clean, modern, and still maintained its character. The location was great, within walking distance to Melrose with its restaurants, bars, and cafes. It was also a good base for exploring the area, such as visiting Kielder Observatory, which was only a little over an hour's drive away. We would definitely return to this cottage if we're in the area again in the future.
Felt at home instantly, no complaints.

Postbox Cottage was a hidden gem that was really nice. The value for money was excellent, with a well-presented and fully-equipped cottage, including a cozy seating area and convenient off-street parking. The location was ideal, within walking distance of the charming town center of Melrose. The staff, especially Julie and Simon, were helpful and friendly, even providing us with interesting insights about the cottage's history.
Menu for breakfast could benefit from a wider variety of options.

What a disappointment this place was. We booked it for a Christmas getaway, hoping for a cozy and festive experience. Well, the only positive thing I can say is that the cottage was nicely decorated. But that's about it. the so-called "fully equipped kitchen" lacked running hot water, which made cooking a real challenge. And don't get me started on the tiny shower that was small and dark. Plus, the hot water flow was painfully slow. We ended up boiling water just to wash the dishes! the description didn't mention these issues, and it really put a damper on our holiday spirit.
To make matters worse, the owners only gave us a vague excuse about a new system when we brought up the hot water issue. It's clear they didn't care enough to ensure everything was in proper working order.

I had an wonderful stay at a charming cottage in the Scottish borders. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by a beautiful and well-furnished space, made me feel right at home. I loved the small outdoor seating area where I could relax and enjoy the calm outside. It was also a pleasant surprise to have a parking space available, especially in such a small street. The neighbor even shared some interesting historical facts about the cottage, which added to its charm. The cottage had everything I needed, including a comfortable bed, a decent shower, and a well-equipped kitchen. It was the perfect place to end my long holiday in Scotland. I highly recommend this lovely cottage for a nice stay in the Scottish borders.
Although everything was fantastic, I did notice that the water pressure from the hot taps was a bit low. it didn't greatly affect my overall experience.
